CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) is a step closer to getting its bill protecting intellectual property passed. After it was killed last year by representatives, a new one was proposed in order to protect against knockoff designs and force designers to be innovative and unique. This bill will protect clothing, handbags, sunglasses and belts for three years after its introduction to the public.
